Law firm specializing in plaintiff s employment law is seeking a mid to senior-level Employment Attorney/Junior Partner to join their growing team. Law firm is headquartered in Westchester County with established practices in New York City and the greater tristate area. This position has a hybrid remote schedule, with 4 days in office and 1 day from home. Salary depends on experience, and 15-20% commission is available, depending on relevant experience (should yield total annual compensation well into the six figures). Fast track to partnership (2-5 years) is available. Responsibilities:
-Preparing/drafting state and federal pleadings, civil cover sheets, and requests for judicial intervention
-Filing court documents electronically in both federal and state ECF systems
-Preparing and monitoring service of the complaints
-Drafting and filing EEOC charges and responses
-Drafting various correspondence and legal documents, including authorizations, deficiency letters, and pre-motion letters
-Drafting interrogatories and document requests and responses
-Meetings, discussions, and correspondence with clients regarding factual and litigation developments, next steps, preparation of timeline, damages, medical authorizations, witnesses and other evidence gathering, mitigation, discovery production, and settlement
-Compiling, organizing, and bate stamping discovery productions
-Drafting and responding to subpoenas
-Conducting legal research on various employment law and procedural issues
-Drafting substantive and procedural motions and responses to motions
-Drafting mediation statements
-Discussions and correspondence with court regarding various litigation issues
-Discussions and correspondence with opposing counsel on various litigation items, including discovery production, depositions, deficiency items, contemplated motions, mediation, and settlement
-Calendaring and meeting deadlines
