Job Description

Medical device manufacturing company is seeking Sorters. 2nd shift hours are Monday - Thursday 4:00pm - 2:45am and Friday 2:00pm - 10:45pm. This position is eligible for RJ-Staffing bonus pay while temp, and if hired permanently, company offers health, dental, vision, PTO, and retirement.

Responsibilities:
-100% visual inspection of products.
-Verify product quality in accordance to product specifications
-Sort professional product defects at a minimum of 1, 000 products per hour
-Sort OTC products defects at a minimum of 3, 000 products per hour
-Assemble and roll up OTC products as per production requirements
-Inform Laminator Operator and/or Supervisor of observed process deficiencies and product defects or abnormalities
-Separate all non-conforming products during production
-Count defective product by type of product
-Stack good product in production bins
-Discard defective products in the rejected bins
-Complete paperwork for your production bins and rejected bins
-Verification of Line Clearance activities as defined by applicable instructions
-Clean airlocks, floor, areas around the machine s surfaces, bins, and others areas of the cleanroom as assigned by the Supervisor and following the cleaning instruction
-Print, verify, and approve the in-line print, label, or sticker as required by company instructions
-Operate the packaging machines as required by the production
-Operate weighting scales, making certain the correct amount of product is packed into the retail boxes or packaging configuration
-100% visual inspection on retail boxes, ensuring that the retail box is raised straight, the label is placed in the correct position and with the right information as per the specification, and the box is completely sealed without visible glue and clean and free of dust or dirt
-Move (push/pull) the raw material, carts, equipment, and containers
-Conform to all safety procedures
-Receive and return material from the warehouse
-Verify the materials according with the job traveler
-Support Z-Fold process according to the specifications
-Support Carton Room packaging process according to specifications
-Support Mixing Room process according to specifications
-Support Print Department process according to specifications
-Support others departments as assigned

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
-1 year of hands-on experience in a production environment
-Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
-Good communication and interaction skills
-Ability to work under minimal supervision
-Problem-solving and decision-making skills
-Self-motivated to work effectively in a team
-Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and apply the information contained on technical documentation or procedures
-Flexibility to work overtime
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Technical degree is a plus
-Basic computer skills using Word and Excel
-Physically capable performing tasks associated with the responsibilities, such as, but not limited to, frequent standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, working on an elevated platform or surface, talking, seeing, and hearing, using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reaching with hands and arms
-Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
-Ability to use IQS system
-Covering and/or interchanging between day and night shift (including but not limited to: cover for leaves of absence, vacation, position vacancy, etc.)
-Working on weekends as per business needs
