Rapidly growing world-class manufacturer providing high-quality, effective products for health and wellness is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain production equipment and ensure all machinery and mechanical equipment are in operating condition. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with other mechanics, collaborate with production operators and general maintenance workers, and assist with other tasks and requests as directed. Hours are Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm. Salary depends on experience. Company offers health, dental, life, and supplemental disability insurance, 401(k) with 50% match up to 5%, and PTO.
Responsibilities:
-Conduct all business in accordance with company policy and procedures
-Verify that machine maintenance and daily tasks assigned are completed in a timely manner
-Perform methodical troubleshooting, repair work, and preventative maintenance on all production packaging, labeling machinery, and converting equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
-Request technical assistance if beyond expertise of possessed skills, which may include outside repair service, if required
-Ensure that all machinery is in operating order by detecting and locating the source of problems, both electrical and mechanical
-Perform and complete preventive maintenance, following operation manuals, manufacturer s instructions, and engineering specification, and troubleshoot malfunctions
-Anticipate needed equipment, parts, and supplies and place and expedite orders
-Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications
-Provide mechanical maintenance information when asked related questions and requests
-Be on site during emergency situations, including, but not limited to, snowstorms and other severe weather, to ensure the safety of the building occupants, facility, and the public
-Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
-Train junior maintenance staff on preventive maintenance, routine maintenance, machine repairs, and diagnosing problems with the equipment
-Possess the ability to fabricate and repair parts using machine shop instruments and equipment, such as machining, milling, etc.
-Perform any additional duties assigned or requested by senior management
-Complete various physical tasks as requested by management
-Collaborate closely with other departments and teams for proactive problem resolutions
-General interior and exterior upkeep of the facility
