Job Description

Financial services consultant and boutique bookkeeping company in trust accounting with a family office environment is looking to hire an Accounting Executive. This position will maintain records of complex financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions, and interacting on a regular basis successfully with clients and support a world class client base of high net-worth families and dynamic businesses. This individual will become certified in a number of areas such as trust accounting, QuickBooks, and bookkeeping in order to distinguish themselves from others in the field. Once trained on site for approximately 6 months, this position has much flexibility and will be remote. Salary depends on experience.

Responsibilities:
-Develop system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts, defining bookkeeping policies and procedures, and implementing applications that solve for client needs and processes
-Understand personal investments, including short sales, ETF s, private equity, alternative investing, and real estate investments
-Develop standards, analyze information, and comprehend debits and credits in accounting
-Deal with complexity
-Report research results
-Perform data entry
-Keep a detailed personal Quicken file or other PFP

Job Requirements

Requirements:
-Equivalent of a 4-year degree in accounting or finance, or certified bookkeeping designation
-Continued education as required by minimum certification requirements
-2+ years relevant experience
-Demonstrated ability to handle multiple accounts simultaneously
-Must be decisive and work well under pressure
-Confident in one's abilities and able to work independently with minimal direction
-Dedicated home office space with multiple monitors, headset, and web-cam
-Meet BYOD technology requirements
-Potential travel requirements to meet with prospective or current clients
-Self-motivated
-Technological optimism and competence
-Experience with Quicken
-Ability to adapt and implement strategies using different applications by problem-solving, researching, and troubleshooting
-Strong work ethic
-Attention to detail
-Confidentiality
