ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER

Job Description

Well-established and growing non-profit aimed at providing disability services seeks a qualified Accounts Payable Manager to join their team. Hours are Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm. Salary depends on experience. Company offers medical and dental insurance, paid holidays, and PTO. The Accounts Payable Manager reports to the Assistant Director of Finance.

Responsibilities:
-Oversee the accounts payable function, including processing of invoices and payments while maintaining appropriate documentation for all expenses
-Oversee Accounting Clerk and direct their workflow
-Develop and follow guidelines for proper handling and coding of invoices to maintain accurate general ledger expense account records
-Analyze invoices and expense reimbursements for accuracy and eligibility for payment
-Obtain required approvals and enter invoices into database for processing
-Provide documentation for check runs and payments to enable Director of Finance/Controller s approval before forwarding for check signing
-Process and maintain transportation billing and reporting
-Maintain reconciliation spreadsheet, confirming monthly to the G/L
-Process and maintain all leases and lease schedules
-Ensure monthly credit card account reconciliations are completed
-OMIG required monthly Exclusion Check of A/P on EPStaffCheck platform
-Ensure all vendors have completed VT vetting process and maintain documentation files
-Ensure proper maintenance, filing, and storage of all paid invoices
-Monthly bank reconciliations as required
-Assist with annual property tax exempt renewals, NYS Unclaimed fund reporting, Outstanding Check maintenance, and year-end audit requirements
-All other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Finance

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
-Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Business Administration with 1 year of experience in an accounting office or 3-4 years of accounting experience with at least two years in a managerial or supervisory capacity
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite or related software
-Thorough understanding of accounts payable functions
-Excellent analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail
