Job Description

Well-established and growing non-profit aimed at providing disability services seeks a qualified Chief Quality and Compliance Officer to join their team. The Chief Quality and Compliance Officer (CQCO), as directed by the Agency's Chief Executive Officer, will be responsible for overseeing the agency-wide compliance with federal, state, (e.G., OPWDD), and local regulations, directing quality assurance, risk management, and HIPAA privacy. Key duties include directing audits, managing investigations, developing policies, and reporting trends to the Board. The position ensures that the Board of Directors, management, and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies, that agency policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior in the agency meets the agency s Code of Conduct. The Chief Quality and Compliance Officer reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is a direct report to the Board of Directors. Hours are Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm. Salary depends on experience. Company offers Medical, Dental, Vision, 403(b), Life, Disability, and Paid Time Off.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree required; master s degree strongly preferred
Minimum 7 10 years of progressive quality, compliance, legal, or regulatory experience with an I/DD service system or human services
Previous experience in incident management, investigations, or quality assurance with the ID/DD field is essential.
Deep knowledge of Medicaid waiver services and person-centered planning; strong data analysis, critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of Medicaid compliance regulations, CMS guidance, and state oversight requirements
Proficiency with the OPWDD electronic incident management system.
Familiarity with OIG (Office of the Inspector General ) compliance program guidance and fraud, waste, and abuse prevention
Analyze and interpret professional research and government requirements to set standards and improve service delivery.
Strong investigative, analytical, and risk management skills
Ability to translate complex regulations into operational practices for frontline staff
Excellent communication skills
Superior written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Display high degree of judgment, discretion and confidentiality
