Job Description

Longstanding full-service luxury design studio offering customers a range of services from custom furniture and residential interior design to home staging and furnished rentals with a full-service studio offering an array of meticulously crafted services is looking to hire a Delivery Helper to fulfill transportation and delivery processes. Hours are Monday - Friday 6:00am -2:30pm, with some flexibility on certain days based on needs. This position is eligible for RJ-Staffing bonus pay while temp, and, when position becomes permanent, company offers comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Responsibilities:
-Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading furniture items from the delivery truck, ensuring proper handling and care
-Transport furniture to customers' homes with the utmost care and attention to avoid any damages or accidents
-Help assemble and set up furniture at customers' locations, ensuring all pieces are correctly put together and paying close attention to detail to meet our high-quality standards
-Clean furniture items thoroughly before delivery to ensure they are in immaculate condition upon arrival at customers' homes
-Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, including answering inquiries, offering assistance, and addressing any concerns professionally and courteously
-Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery
-Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while handling and transporting furniture items
-Collaborate with the warehouse team as needed, assisting with inventory management, restocking, and organization to ensure efficient warehouse operations
-Understand basic handling and protection of our products
-Assist with loading/unloading trucks/containers consisting of boxes/packages of product/supplies
-Assist in projects throughout the warehouse to keep products stored in a clean, organized, and safe manner
-Assist with Quality Control on products throughout the distribution process
-Understand inventory SKU and S/N designations
-Understand proper usage of material handling equipment
-Properly use PPE as needed
-Perform basic cleaning and refurbishing of products
-Perform basic furniture assembly
-Understand basic art hanging techniques
-Make a bed to Vesta standards
-Assist in the ongoing cleanliness/organization of the work site
-Maintain a safe work environment and keep management informed of any safety hazards
-Assist others as needed
-Provide accurate time cards through the proper use of ADP payroll app
-Communicate well with management, keeping them informed of time off requests
-Keep management informed of challenges they experience within the workplace
-Other assignments and tasks as assigned by manager or supervisor
-Follow all SOPs governing the tasks involved with successfully completing the duties assigned

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Clean driving record/Valid driver license
-Previous experience in furniture delivery or a related field is a plus
-Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy furniture items
-Excellent attention to detail, especially during furniture assembly to ensure the highest level of quality
-Customer-oriented approach with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow instructions from delivery drivers
-Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and work overtime as required
-1 year of furniture handling experience
-Punctual with a positive, professional attitude
