Job Description

Commercial specialized construction and installation company is seeking a Junior or Lead Estimator to join their department of three. This is a great opportunity for anyone with junior or associate-level estimating experience. This particular industry requires far less complex analysis, procurement, or material negotiation, as projects are much more consistent and have a much lesser degree of variability than other trades. The company will have a formal training process to help you learn their product line and proprietary estimating software system to aid in your success. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Salary depends on experience. Company offers health, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO. If you enroll in the basic plans, they cover almost 100% of the premium.

-Consult and advise clients to determine the best solution for their requirements
-Obtain deep understanding of all company standard products and be able to answer technical questions
-Utilize sales tactics and strategies to convert proposals into sales
-Review contracts according to company procedures
-Log new sales
-Receive/review architectural drawings and specifications from general contractors, architects, and company sales team
-Analyze architectural drawings and specifications
-Determine which products meet the design intent and specifications
-Generate/submit RFIs as necessary to accurately complete tasks
-Use dedicated software to perform quantity takeoffs
-Generate proposals using proprietary software according to company procedures
-Review proposals for accuracy and respond to questions
-Submit proposals in accordance with imposed deadlines
-Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Job Requirements

-1-5+ years of estimating experience in any industry
-Customer service skills
-Familiarity with bid/quote processes
-Tech savvy with the ability to learn and utilize software
-Ability to work full-time on-site
