Job Description

Manufacturing company is seeking Laminators/Mixers to support their production operations. Multiple shifts available. This position is eligible for RJ-Staffing bonus pay while temp, and if hired permanently, company offers health, dental, vision, and PTO. Hourly pay depends on position and shift.

Laminator Responsibilities:
-Operate at least two assigned laminators according to the product specifications by maintaining low scrap rate of less than 18%
-Maximize the raw material changes and usage to achieve the production objective
-Perform the laminators change over, set up, and cylinder verification as established by the standards operating procedures
-Sort product defects to verify product quality in order to adjust the laminator accordingly and support other processes if it is needed as roller or packing process
-Accurately complete the lot number route card, cylinder logs, and any required paperwork
-Ensure laminator, tools, and area around the laminator remains clean according to specifications
-Follow cleaning activities as described in the cleaning procedure that includes carts, bins, containers, production areas, etc.
-Listen and address product quality observations made from laminator team members
-Notify the production team leader and team members if anything deviates from specifications
-Interact and communicate to the technical department any request for maintenance and keep organized all documents related with the maintenance request
-Work with cross-functional teams on development or improvement of SOP, test specifications, and manufacturing projects assigned by the shift team leader or production manager
-Receive and return material from the warehouse
-Conform to all safety procedures
-Move and push/pull the raw material, carts, equipment, and containers
-This position requires covering and/or interchanging between day and night shift, including cover for leaves of absence, vacation, position vacancy, etc.
-This position requires working on weekends as per business needs

Mixer 2 Responsibilities:
-Act as leader in the absence of the Mixer Supervisor
-Ensure that Mixer 1 is properly trained to function with minimal supervision
-Participate in daily production call meeting
-Accurately complete all relevant logs and mixing paperwork, such as cleaning log, safety guarding daily checklist, daily weight check verification, formulations sheets, etc.
-Clean airlocks, floor, areas around the machine s surfaces, bins, and others areas of the mixing room as assigned by the supervisor and following the cleaning instructions
-Respond to mix requirements to support the cleanroom operations and schedule
-Ensure mixing room areas, tools, and equipment remain clean according to specifications
-Notify the Mixer Supervisor and team members if anything deviates from specifications
-Interface with the cleanroom and warehouse counterparts to assure all pertinent information is transferred among departments
-Utilize Epicor system as required to material issue and return, receive to stock, print pick list, log in/out labor, and enter quantity produced and scrap on operations if applicable
-Utilize IQS system to confirm appropriate documentation and initiate changes of documents through the system as necessary
-Receive and return material from the warehouse
-Conform to all safety, quality, and standard operating procedures
-Move, push, and pull raw material, carts, equipment, and containers
-Interact and communicate to the technical department any maintenance request
-Work with cross-functional teams on development or improvement of SOP, test specification, and manufacturing projects assigned by the Mixer Supervisor
-Clean raw materials cart and wheels with alcohol and verify raw materials label information, such as part number, expiration date, etc., before entering the mixing room department
-Verify the information of the raw materials against the expiration date stated on the job and labels before weighing
-Utilize the safety equipment, including raw materials lifter, to add raw materials
-Utilize the scale and printer, making sure the correct amount of raw materials in accordance with the formulation sheets
-Operate and clean mixing machines as required by company specifications
-Cut silicone paper using the roll stand with the cutter
-Take out mix from the machines to trays and spread it over to the entire tray using coating spatulas
-Pull the mix bars from the trays and load into the mix carts

Job Requirements

Laminator Qualifications:
-1 year of hands-on experience in a production environment
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Technical degree is a plus
-Basic computer skills using Word and Excel
-Ability to speak, write, and read English
-Physically capable of performing tasks associated with the responsibilities

Mixer 2 Qualifications:
-2 years of hands-on experience in a production environment with 1 year of experience operating machines
-Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
-Good communication and interaction skills
-Ability to work under minimal supervision
-Problem-solving and decision-making skills
-Self-motivated to work effectively in a team
-Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and apply the information contained on technical documentation or procedures
-Flexibility to work overtime
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Technical degree is a plus
-Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office Suite
-Physically capable of performing tasks associated with the responsibilities
-Mechanical and technical working experience
-Working knowledge of cGMP, ISO, and FDA regulations is a plus
