Leading plaintiff-side employment law firm in New York City with over 20 years of success litigating high-stakes matters involving discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, and whistleblower matters is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate to join their Financial District area office. Their team is known for strategic, detail-driven litigation and a results-oriented approach. They handle complex cases and are deeply committed to securing meaningful outcomes for clients. This role focuses on managing a high-volume caseload across pre-litigation and active litigation, with an emphasis on written advocacy, case development, and driving matters toward resolution. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple matters while contributing to broader case strategy and preparation. Hours are Monday - Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm (on-site). Salary depends on experience, plus 4% commission. Company offers comprehensive benefits package, including health, 401(k), and PTO.
Responsibilities:
-Conduct client consultations and evaluate potential claims
-Manage a high-volume caseload across pre-litigation and litigation matters
-Draft substantive written work, including:
-Rebuttals and pre-suit advocacy submissions
-EEOC responses and position statement rebuttals
-Damages analyses and case summaries
-Conduct legal research and draft supporting memoranda
-Draft complaints, discovery demands, motions, and other pleadings
-Manage and organize discovery, including document review and productions
-Review, analyze, and redline settlement agreements
-Prepare clients for mediations and assist in mediation strategy
-Assist in preparing for depositions, mediations, and negotiations, including:
-Drafting mediation statements
-Organizing exhibits and supporting materials
-Developing case summaries and strategy materials
-Participate in calls with opposing counsel and contribute to case positioning and negotiations
-Support trial preparation and overall case development
-Work closely with paralegals and staff to ensure matters are progressing efficiently
