Job Description

Long-standing client of ours specializing in appliances and a leading distribution company in business for 70+ years is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join their growing appliance distribution team. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating delivery routes, managing inventory transfers between warehouse locations, and serving as a key communication link between customers, sales staff, warehouses, and third-party delivery providers. Hours are Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm. Salary depends on experience. Company offers 401(k) with match, health insurance, and PTO.

Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate daily appliance delivery routes to maximize efficiency and meet customer expectations.
Communicate delivery schedules, updates, and issues with customers, sales representatives, and internal departments.
Coordinate inventory transfers between warehouse locations to maintain proper stock levels and product availability.
Monitor inventory movement and assist with inventory accuracy and reconciliation.
Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party delivery teams and transportation partners.
Track delivery progress and proactively address delays, scheduling conflicts, or service issues.
Collaborate with warehouse personnel, delivery teams, and sales staff to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, transfers, inventory movements, and transportation documentation.
Resolve customer and logistics-related concerns professionally and efficiently.
Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational performance.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, dispatching, transportation coordination, inventory control, or a related field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
Experience with routing, dispatching, warehouse management, or transportation management systems is preferred.
Experience in appliance, furniture, home delivery, or distribution operations is a plus.
