Job Description

Company that provides solutions for taking anything through the product journey from concept to consumer is seeking a National Sales Director. This role will be responsible for maximizing sales volume, profits, distribution, and market share of products through Target, mid-tier, and department store channels. These channels/accounts represent significant current and future growth potential and directly impact overall financial performance. The successful incumbent will demonstrate a management style which handles complex and challenging interactions with all key accounts as well as navigating cross-functionally internally. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm, with a hybrid schedule of 3 days on site and 2 days from home. Salary depends on experience and bonus is available. -Meet and exceed revenue/distribution objectives for improved volume, profits, and share
-Develop account-specific strategic initiatives and annual financial/sales plans in conjunction with SVP and President
-Generate retailer support and commitment to joint business plans
-Maximize current business via sales/marketing initiatives, improved space management, and productivity analysis
-Develop/manage trade and budget plans to effectively deliver growth and profit
-Expand consumer acceptance/takeaway via effective merchandising/promotional activity in addition to timely replenishment resulting in high in-stocks
-Manage overall account-specific trade funds to ensure acceptable investment while achieving business strategies and financial objectives
-Leverage cross-category opportunities to maximize sales/distribution and to create a competitive advantage
-Work closely with all functional areas at all key accounts to establish and integrate realistic strategies and objectives
-Participate in product development/line reviews to provide the customer insight
-Lead quarterly product reviews, assortment plans, and account sell-in meetings

Job Requirements

-Bachelor's degree
-10+ years sales/marketing experience with major retailer partners
-Hosiery background is strongly preferred
-Strong leadership, strategic negotiation, and influencing skills
-Ability to navigate and manage difficult and challenging account relationships with strength, patience, and professionalism
-Self-starter, strong collaborator, and good communicator
-Leadership abilities to lead a team
-Leadership and management traits, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills
-Expert and functional knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
-Ability to travel extensively
