Job Description

Well-established CNC machine manufacturer is seeking a Parts Associate to join their team. Hours are Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm with a 1-hour lunch for a 35-hour workweek. When the position becomes permanent, company offers medical, dental, vision, life, and 401(k) with 3% match.

-Heavy data entry, computer, and phone work
-Computer navigation, including order entry, product look-up, sales entry, and procuring customer s requests
-Help customer make selections by building customer confidence, offering suggestions and opinions, and identifying correct parts
-Sell parts by taking and clarifying customer orders, retrieving and selling new and replacement parts, receiving and recording new parts inventory, maintaining parts databases, and maintaining a safe and secure environment
-Complete sales by entering purchased items into sales/inventory system, obtaining payment, adding purchase to credit account, and issuing sales receipts
-Establish and maintain good relations with customers by providing prompt and courteous service for all customers and potential customers by phone or email
-Assist warehouse staff in picking and packing when workload requires
-Reference the part of the client's product line in the extensive parts database
-Enter order data into SYSPRO system
-Work with SYSPRO to create accurate packing slips
-Assist in keeping parts area clean and orderly
-Assign OEM part numbers
-Assist with annual inventory count
-Other duties as assigned by manager

Job Requirements

-Must have excellent computer skills and the ability to assist in the warehouse when workload and tasks require
-Strong attention to detail
-Knowledge of SAP or SYSPRO is preferred
-Experience in a parts department environment
-Strong customer service focus
-High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
-Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office
-Familiarity with various parts for CNC machines would be helpful, but not required
