Job Description

Well established personal injury law firm since 1981 is seeking to hire a qualified Personal Injury experienced Paralegal.
Hour are Monday-Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm with 1 hour paid lunch. Salary is dependent on experience.
Benefits offered include Comprehensive Health benefits package, 401k, Profit Sharing, paid federal holidays, paid vacation, and paid sick/personal, etc.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in the following responsibilities and qualifications below:
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with case management during all stages of litigation for personal injury
- Prepare all legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses, stipulations etc.
- Draft standard correspondence
- Serve and file legal documents, including e-filing (knowledge of NY ECF and PACER is beneficial)
- Coordinate with calendar clerk and staff to maintain key dates and deadlines
- Communicate with clients, court personnel, and adversaries

Job Requirements

Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of litigation processes (i.E. NY CPLR)
- Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, Excel
- Ability to prioritize, take initiative, and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Bi-lingual a plus (Spanish)

Software:
- Microsoft Outlook and Office Suite
- LexPI - helpful, but not required
