Job Description

Well-established non-profit is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician. The Senior Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintenance duties at all agency buildings and grounds and will assume the day-to-day supervisory responsibilities of the Maintenance Department in the absence of the Director of Facilities Maintenance. The Senior Maintenance Technician shall also represent the Agency as its liaison for maintenance-related issues, with contractors and vendors, as needed and requested.
The Senior Maintenance Technician will report to the Director of Facilities Maintenance. Hours are Monday - Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm. Company offers medical, dental, vision, life, disability, flex spending, tuition assistance, 403B, retirement, and PTO.

Responsibilities:
Assume Director responsibilities in the absence of the Director of Facilities Maintenance
Overall maintenance of the buildings and grounds
Routine maintenance of all plumbing
Routine maintenance of interior drains
Ensure the operation of heating and air-conditioning systems, including the HVAC filters
Ensure the proper operation of all windows and doors
Ensure the proper operation of all interior and exterior lighting, including bulb replacement
Complete scheduled interior and exterior painting
Routing repair/replacement of flooring
Routine repair/replacement of tile
Clean, strip, and seal tile flooring
General carpentry work, as directed
Move furniture and equipment, as directed
Routine maintenance of exterior gutters and drains
Will be available on a non-routine basis to provide services on weekends and evenings on an emergency basis
Adhere to Employee Handbook as well as Part 633 and Part 624 regulations.
Abide by the provisions of the Code of Conduct.
Recognize the importance of reporting (orally and written) situations and/or incidents to supervisor; required to report all suspected abuse and neglect to the Justice Center.
Be able to make sound conclusions/decisions and when necessary, take effective action independently.
Be able to accept necessary supervision and direction with appropriate responses and attitudes.
Be able to accept criticism and utilize constructive criticism for self-appraisal and improvement of skills and relationships.
Know emergency procedures and be able to carry them out in a calm, orderly manner.
Be able to follow through on directions with a minimum of supervision.
Be able to walk, stand, bend and stretch for long periods of time.
Staff are required to speak English while they are performing job duties for operational and safety purposes.
Responsible for effective use of Agency supplies, equipment, telephones, postage, vehicles, etc. And must be prompt and accurate with receipts for monies distributed.
Maintain and update as needed, all required certifications.
Work collaboratively with other departments regarding effective treatment planning and agency initiatives.
Be punctual for work, meetings and trainings and dress appropriately.
All other duties assigned by the Director of Facilities Maintenance.

Job Requirements

Requirements:
-High school Diploma/GED/work-related experience
-Able to lift, carry, and move heavy objects as necessary
-Proven skills in plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems
-Must have and maintain a valid driver s license with a driving record that meets the agency s insurance company driving standards
-Must successfully participate in the Agency's orientation and other proficiency-based trainings.
