Well-established company specializing in solutions for the pharmaceutical and medical device industry is seeking a SMED Technician to join their team. Hours are Monday - Thursday 4:20pm - 2:40am. This position is eligible for RJ-Staffing bonus pay while temp, and, when the position becomes permanent, company offers medical and PTO.
Responsibilities:
-Assist and support the Press Operators in the task of setting up a press for a job
-Help maintain the work area to provide an efficient and effective workflow, while adhering to lean manufacturing techniques, workflow diagrams, all company controlled documents (process descriptions, SOP's, guidelines, and test instructions), cGMP, ISO, OSHA regulations, and health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
-Assist the Press Operators in the removal of press components after jobs are completed and in the preparation of these parts and components for cleaning
-Clean plates, rollers, and other removable press components, using ink solvents or other approved cleaning solution and the approved cleaning method for each press component
-Aid in the cleaning of the press, using approved cleaning solutions and approved cleaning methods
-Perform and assist in the preventive maintenance needed for all cleaning equipment as it relates to the cleaning of ink chambers, the press, and other components used to clean their assigned equipment or machinery
-Remove waste materials from the press area and dispose of them in the proper manner
