Job Description

Non-profit that empowers children, adults, and families facing challenges to thrive in their communities by addressing their needs with compassion, dignity, and care is seeking a V.P. Of Human Resources to join their team. Hours are Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm. Salary depends on experience. Company offers medical, dental, vision, and PTO.
He/she is responsible for handling the employee relations of the Agency in accordance with policies and practices, ethical standards, employment and labor laws, regulations, and other regulatory authorities. This position will be data driven relying on achievement of departmental goals

-Benefits administration, human resource information systems, labor negotiations, internal and external reporting, and other related tasks
-Handle the employee relations of the agency in accordance with policies and practices, ethical standards, employment and labor laws, regulations, and other regulatory authorities
-Collaborate with Chief Administrative Officer on departmental level strategies
-Serve as point person for Union and Labor matters
-Assure efficiency and compliance with all areas of Benefits Administration
-Work and assist COO with Labor Counsel in developing Union Contracts and ongoing negotiations
-Oversee staff agency events and develop new events ongoing
-Ensure compliance and system review of staff performance evaluations
-Review Unemployment and Workmen s Compensation data/reports
-Oversee the practices of hiring/terminating employees
-Represent agency in various external HR Forums
-Hold quarterly meetings with VPs for the purpose of clarifying policies/procedures, resolving employee/union issues, and enhancing supervisor/subordinate relationships
-Work with CQI Department in defining program goals and monitoring HR outcomes and use HRIS systems management accordingly
-Develop job coaching strategies and training for managers/supervisors
-Track and report monthly on employee incidents, complaints, suspensions, and traffic violations
-Handle administration of target letters, suspensions, reinstatements, and employee tracking related to Justice Center incidents, employee arrest, and any other disciplinary matters related to external agencies
-Supervise the Benefits Director, HR Benefit Specialist, HRIS Director, and HR Coordinator

Job Requirements

-Bachelor's degree (master s degree is preferred)
-5+ years of human resources generalist experience with 3 years of experience in senior management
-Leadership and organizational development skills
-Previous experience with Unions and Employee Benefits (FMLA, Workman s Compensation, etc.)
-Non-profit experience
